About Casey
Casey is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) by trade and an entrepreneur at heart, holding a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Davenport University. With decades of experience, he has been an active member of numerous industry-specific trade associations, particularly in construction, real estate, and development.
In 2004, Casey founded Stonehenge Consulting, PLC, a CPA firm specializing in complex and nontraditional services. Before this, he spent 10 years at a local CPA firm and held consulting roles as CFO and Director of Finance. His career has been defined by the development of innovative advisory services that many in the industry consider a “new” way of thinking—services Casey has been providing from the beginning of his career.

Turnaround Expertise: Throughout his career, Casey has acquired majority ownership stakes in distressed businesses, guiding them through workout or restructuring situations with financial discipline and effective management practices, often collaborating with financial institutions.
Supplemental Unemployment Benefit Plan: Recognizing the needs of the construction industry, Casey developed and implemented a Prevailing Wage Trust, providing a qualified fringe benefit plan designed to benefit unemployed workers in the sector.
Forerunner Group, PLC: As a natural progression of his career, Casey founded Forerunner, a CPA firm specializing in family office services, turnaround strategies, receiverships, and syndications.
Artemis Development & Management: In partnership with the Michigan State Housing Development Association (MSHDA), Casey founded Artemis Development, LLC, and Artemis Management, LLC to address challenges in affordable housing. Artemis Management provides an innovative, vertically integrated property management solution designed for passive investors, tackling income verification and state compliance issues in the housing industry.
